Membership:

 

This is a Hampstead based social group with a membership of about 150.  It is open to new members in their 30s to late 40s although some of the existing members are a bit older!

 

There are no defined membership criteria but smart friendly sociable people with a reasonable education who don't mind spending to enjoy themselves at the Group's events will find themselves more suitable.   Single, divorced and married couples are equally acceptable.  It is not a dating club but who knows?

 

The Group has been run on a voluntary basis for about 30 years by David and Pam.  There is no membership fee but a small donation of £1 per event and £2 on Saturdays is required to cover expenses.  There are no charges at outside events or sit down dinner parties.

 

New members should live within the area which is loosely defined as these post codes:-  W1-W2,  W9-W11,  WC1,  NW1-NW6, NW8-NW11, N1-N12, N19.  Members are normally expected to be on the voters list and have landlines at their homes.

 

There are about 15-20 events held per month and can include Saturday evening events, some with dancing, in members homes, restaurant visits, art galleries, theatres, dinner parties, coffee evenings,  country walks, pubs etc.  Many events in the home have food provided by the host at an appropriate cost with drinks brought by the guests and a full bottle of good quality wine is a form of entry ticket.  Members should hold events from time to time even if only a restaurant visit.
